Clay Modelling

IMG_1497

You take a piece of clay and make an item of your own exciting unique design. You can use a range of clays to mould a model with your hands or on the Potters Wheel.

What are the different types of clay?
There are two types: Air-Dry Clay and fired Clay.
Air-Dry Clay can be taken away on the same day. You cannot use Air-Dry Clay for food or drink items.
Fired Clay takes from 2 to 4 weeks as it needs to dry and be kilned. This process makes it stronger and more durable than Air-Dry Clay. Fired Clay can be used for drink and food items.
Do I need to be good at art to make clay models?
Not at all. For instance Toddlers have created some great pieces of work and people who have not used clay before have surprised themselves with amazing clay models.
Is it just for children?
No, people of all ages from toddlers to grandparents love making things from clay.
What does it cost?
Clay modelling is great value as it is an activity coupled with the fact that you walk away with your own special memento to treasure or a gift for a loved one.
For hand clay modelling prices start from £12 or you can try your hand on the Potters Wheel where prices start from £15.
